In my classes, we focus on prep – using just enough product to provide hold without killing the natural texture. When you see a braid that looks incredibly thick and full, it comes down to how you pull the loops and maintain tension throughout the braid, not just how much hair the client has. ### Professional Braiding Techniques Braiding is not just about crossing strands; it is about architecture. Whether it is a messy fishtail for a mehendi function or a tight, intricate pull-through braid for a reception, the foundation remains the same: sectioning, tension, and finishing. At my Pitampura studio, we move away from the 'dummy-only' approach. You will work on live models to understand how different hair textures behave – some hair is naturally frizzy, some is chemically treated, and some is incredibly thin.
