## About Flowing Curls & Open Hairstyles

Real talk: curls don't just happen by holding a tong for ten seconds. Most people complain their curls open up after an hour of dancing. I use a specific pinning technique to set the curl pattern before I even start styling, so when I take the pins out, the structure is locked in. If you have thin hair or a visible scalp, I use fiber coverage and volume padding to make it look full without making it feel like you are wearing a helmet.

### Why your curls open up (and how I fix it)
The biggest headache with open hairstyles is longevity. If you have ever looked in the mirror halfway through your own sangeet and realized your waves have turned into frizzy straight hair, you know what I am talking about. My process involves professional crimping at the root for base volume and using a high-temperature tong technique that creates a structured curl, not just a loose wave. I always set the hair with pins while it cools down. This is the secret to making curls last through an entire night of dancing.

### Handling thin hair and volume
A lot of clients worry about thin hair or visible scalp lines when going for open styles. Don't stress. I use a combination of hair fibers to cover the scalp and specific padding or donuts to build volume where it is actually needed. If you want that dramatic, fuller-than-real look, I can install clip-in hair extensions that blend seamlessly with your natural hair. You won't feel the weight, and you definitely won't feel like they are going to slip off.
