Whether it is a traditional Kathakali face or a delicate floral motif for your prayer room, my process involves translating the weight of the subject into a surface that feels respectful and grounded in the history of the art form. Art is a way of preserving what we might otherwise lose to time. My work with cultural narratives stems from a need to hold onto the specificities of a place or a tradition.
