In my Lower Parel studio, we play with dramatic lighting and fabric draping to create images that feel sculptural and intimate. It is not about perfect poses, but about capturing you and your partner exactly as you are, free from the distraction of color. When you remove color, you focus on the core of the image: the expression in your eyes, the gentle curve of your bump, and the connection between you and your partner. I have always felt that black and white photography is the most honest way to document a journey as significant as pregnancy. ### My Approach to Monochrome For me, a great black and white portrait is about contrast and shadow. I use my Lower Parel studio to control the light, ensuring it sculpts your silhouette and adds a sense of drama that color sometimes washes out. Whether we are doing an elegant solo portrait with fabric drapes or an intimate couple shot, the goal is a timeless image that won't look dated in ten years. ### What to Expect * **Fabric Draping:** I personally handle the draping to ensure the fabric flows and accentuates your bump in a way that feels graceful and sophisticated. * **Lighting:** I don't use harsh or overly bright setups. Instead, I use soft light to create depth, often hiding parts of the body in shadow to build a sense of mystery and elegance. * **Real Connections:** If your partner or older children are joining, we don't do stiff, unnatural posing. We move, we laugh, and we wait for that one genuine look of love before I click the shutter. This isn't about fitting into a box. If you have a vision for a dramatic silhouette or a raw, minimal portrait, we can bring that to life in the studio.
