We don't just place you against a light source; we work with you to find the exact angle where the curve of your bump or the tiny features of your newborn are highlighted. If you are planning this style, we recommend booking between 28-32 weeks for maternity, or within the first 15 days for newborns, to ensure the most comfortable, pose-ready session. ### Why Choose Silhouette Photography There is a quiet power in a silhouette. By using light and shadow, we strip away the distraction of backgrounds and colors, focusing entirely on the shape of your body or the connection between you and your baby. Whether it is the curve of a maternity bump or the outline of a parent cradling a newborn, these images tell a story of anticipation and love that feels both timeless and artistic. ### The Details That Matter Beyond the silhouettes, we love focusing on the small, tangible parts of your journey. This includes: - **The Milestones:** We incorporate meaningful elements like your positive pregnancy test, ultrasound scans, or even the tiny shoes that will soon be filled. - **The Gestures:** A hand placed on the bump, a touch between partners, or holding a scan—these are the details that ground the photoshoot in your real, lived experience. ### How We Manage Your Session At our Bangalore facility, we control every aspect of the light to create these dramatic effects. - **Studio Environment:** Our Kodigehalli studio is set up specifically for these controlled lighting setups. We manage the backdrop and light intensity to create those crisp, high-contrast images you see in our gallery. - **Planning Your Look:** While you are welcome to bring your own outfits, we recommend form-fitting clothing for silhouette shots to ensure the body shape is clearly defined. If you choose our 'Styled Portrait' or 'All-Inclusive' packages, you will have access to our collection of couture gowns, which drape beautifully to enhance these shapes. Whether you are documenting the beginning of your pregnancy or the first few days of your baby's life, these artistic sessions offer a distinct alternative to standard portraits. ## About RP Studios At RP Studios, we believe the best photos are the ones that strip everything back. I love creating silhouettes because they leave just the shape of your bump or the outline of your baby, turning a standard photo into something dramatic and personal. It is a quiet, artistic way to capture your journey that feels completely different from a regular portrait.
