We always recommend starting early in the morning, not just to beat the crowds, but to catch the soft, diffused light that prevents harsh shadows on your faces, making the water look clear rather than blown out. When we plan a waterfall session, the location choice dictates the entire feel of your pre-wedding gallery. Around Rishikesh, we typically scout between three distinct areas: the accessible Neer Garh falls, the more secluded forest trails near Shivpuri, and the lesser-known cascades deeper in the hills. Because these are nature spots, the experience is different from a studio setup. Expect to walk a bit, so we always advise bringing a comfortable pair of shoes to switch into once we arrive at the location. For the photos, the mist near the falls creates a natural, dewy atmosphere that looks incredible on camera, but it can make rocks slippery and lighting tricky. Our team, which includes a senior candid photographer, handles the technical side, bringing along necessary lighting and reflectors to ensure your outfits stand out against the dark, wet stone of the waterfall backdrop. Whether you want the dramatic, flowing movement of a long gown or a relaxed, casual look with sneakers, we adapt the shooting style to your comfort. We include private car transport in our packages, so you don't have to worry about finding parking or navigating the mountain roads. After the shoot, we deliver a mix of high-resolution, skin-retouched portraits alongside a complete raw data dump, giving you the best of both polished images and every candid moment from the trail. ## About Royal Color Lab & Studio We are Royal Color Lab, based right here in the Rishikesh hills.
