I focus on breaking down complex movements into simple patterns that even shy beginners can follow, ensuring they feel completely relaxed before they step onto the main stage. I do not look for polished professionals in my kids' batches. I look for energy. Whether it is for a school annual day, a local dance competition like Dance Dil Se, or just a fun workshop, my goal is to make sure every child walks off that stage smiling. My studio in Sector 49 serves as the foundation. We do not drill until we are exhausted; we play, we learn, and we practice formations until they feel like second nature. When we prepare for big events, I make sure the music is upbeat and the choreography is customized to their comfort level. This takes the pressure off and lets their natural personalities shine through. If you are worried about your child being too shy, that is exactly who I love teaching. We start with small group warm-ups and slowly move into choreography, which helps them open up naturally. It is incredibly rewarding to see a child who started in the back row eventually leading the pack at an annual day function. We cover everything from Bollywood fusion and Hip-hop to traditional styles like Garba and Dandiya. It is all about having fun and making some noise, yaar. ## About Roots Dance Studio I am Romy, and my studio is like a second home where kids come to just be themselves. I believe anyone can dance if they are having fun, so I strip away the stress and keep the focus on building rhythm and stage confidence.
