My `appa` (father) is my guru, so this art runs deep in me. Sometimes, things in life just happen, but what matters is what you do with them. For me, that's finding and sharing my energy through music. ### Solo Tabla - The Tabla Speaks When I play solo, the tabla gets to tell its own story. My style is mostly from the Faroukhabad Gharana, which is pretty detailed and expressive. You'll hear a repeating tune in the background, called the lehra, usually on harmonium. It gives a base for me to build on, creating a mood that shifts as I play. ### Jugalbandi & Duet Fun Jugalbandi is where the magic of playing with others happens. Whether it’s two tabla players bouncing off each other in a tabla duet performance or fusing Hindustani and Carnatic styles, I enjoy how unpredictable and playful it gets. Sometimes, it’s with a bansuri, veena, sitar, or violin - every combo brings something new. ### Where I Play I’ve been on big festival stages, in tiny baithak (drawing room) concerts, house gigs, and even devotional settings. Each space gives a different vibe, but my aim is always the same - to connect with anyone listening. ### My Take On Music Daily riyaz (practice) keeps me grounded. Music, for me, is endless learning. Like I say, `Badukonthara bhavageete`... life itself feels like a song if you really listen. Tabla came to me at home, thanks to my dad and guru, Pt. Rajgopal Kallurkar. Grew up with beats in my ears, rhythm’s just part of me. Chardham Yatra changed me, brought a calm I try to pour into my music. Got 'B High' grade at AIR, first go – felt blessed, honestly. Music’s not just my job, it’s my way of living and sharing what I feel. ### My work - **What I Do**: Tabla solo gigs, Hindustani and Carnatic accompaniment, jugalbandi, fusion, and Bhavageete (light music) collabs. - **How I Play**: Tabla is like chatting with my hands. Every show, whether solo or with legends, is about connecting. - **Collabs & Jugalbandi**: Love playing with others - violin, sitar, vocals, you name it.
