It's about reading the energy on the ground, knowing exactly when to switch from intense Raas to a spiritual Aarti, and literally running the floor so circles don't collide. I don't just stand on stage—I manage the stamina of the entire ground, ensuring the flow stays consistent even at 3 AM. ### The Garba Hosting Reality When you hire a host for Navratri, you aren't just looking for someone to speak between songs. You need someone who knows the pulse of the crowd. Real Garba hosting is about maintaining that collective flow. If the energy dips, I know how to pick it up with the right banter or a specific classic track. If the crowd gets too wild, I know how to bring order to the floor without killing the vibe. ### What I Actually Do * **Vocal Stamina:** Garba isn't a 1-hour gig. It's a marathon. I maintain consistent, high-energy engagement throughout the night, not just in short bursts. * **Crowd Flow Management:** I watch the circles. I know when the inner and outer circles are getting chaotic and use the mic to guide movement, preventing collisions and keeping the dancers moving smoothly. * **Cultural Balance:** I blend high-energy 'Sheri' Garba spirit with the solemnity required for moments like Maha Aarti. I respect the devotion while fueling the celebration. * **Language Versatility:** I flow between Gujarati, Hindi, and English. Whether you have a crowd of traditional purists or a younger, modern group, everyone gets the same level of connection. If you want a night where the mic supports the music rather than interrupting it, let's talk. I've spent years learning the beats that make Ahmedabad dance, and I bring that exact preparation to your venue. ## About Romil Mehhta I'm Romil.
