In my masterclass, we focus entirely on the canvas, which is the human palm. I teach you how to adjust for skin curvature, map out facial proportions before the henna touches the skin, and use pressure to create depth in eyes and jewelry, ensuring your portrait looks alive rather than just a sketch. Portrait mehndi is a challenging skill, but it is one of the most rewarding. It moves beyond traditional floral motifs into the realm of fine art. When you decide to master figures, you are essentially learning how to capture expressions on a curved, dynamic surface. In my 2-day Realistic Portrait Masterclass, we bypass basic pattern drawing and dive straight into facial anatomy and depth. You will learn how to map out a face, starting with the delicate alignment of eyes, nose, and lips. I show you how to use your cone pressure to create 3D shading that brings figures like Radha-Krishna or a bride and groom to life. We practice these techniques on acrylic hands and paper first, allowing you to build muscle memory before moving to skin. A major part of our training is the paste itself. You cannot achieve sharp, fine details with chemical-heavy cones. I teach the science of mixing my signature organic henna, ensuring you get the sharpest lines and the deepest stain possible. Workshops are held in-person at my studio in Kumaraswamy Layout. I limit the class size significantly because this technique requires me to watch your hand movement and correct your pressure in real-time.
