I teach my students to start from the middle and radiate outwards, which helps maintain symmetry without needing to measure every line. When you master this flow, even complex peacock mandalas become a rhythmic, meditative process that you can replicate with confidence. Symmetry is the heart of a good mandala. Whether you are sketching a traditional peacock at the center of the palm or creating a modern lotus band for a casual festival look, the foundation remains the same. My workshops in Kumaraswamy Layout focus heavily on the science of henna consistency and cone pressure, which are essential for those fine, clean lines.
