I use 100% natural, organic cones mixed with eucalyptus oil, which means the deep maroon stain you see in these photos takes about 48 hours to fully mature. It is a process that requires patience, but it is the only way to get a rich, vibrant color that stays safe for your big day. The moments captured in this gallery are exactly why I do what I do. Whether it is a quick laugh with a bride or the quiet, meditative focus of drawing a portrait on a hand, these sessions are rarely just about the service. They are about creating a safe space in the middle of a chaotic wedding schedule. Many brides tell me that the henna appointment is the only time they get to just sit, breathe, and chat before the festivities take over. I treat this time as a mini celebration.
