I design spaces that fit into your child’s room perfectly, ensuring they have the right light, ergonomics, and storage to focus comfortably. ## Photos and videos - ![This bright and modern study nook features a floating desk in a bold mustard yellow, providing a vibrant pop of color. I often integrate the desk directly into your child's wardrobe or bed unit. This unified approach keeps the room feeling spacious while providing a dedicated, well-lit surface for homework, art, or reading that is always ready to use. ### Designing for Focus and Growth A child's needs change as they grow, and your furniture should keep up. I focus on creating study zones that grow with your child, using durable materials like BWP (Boiling Water Proof) plywood and premium laminates that handle daily wear and tear. Whether it is a floating desk for a minimalist teen room or an integrated desk-and-wardrobe unit for a shared bunk-bed room, the goal is always the same, eliminating clutter. ### Lighting and Ergonomics Proper lighting is non-negotiable for a study area. I install warm white LED strip lighting under floating overhead shelves, which illuminates the workspace without casting shadows on the notebook. This is paired with ergonomic desk heights to support healthy posture during long hours of homework. We also prioritize power points for laptops and lamps, ensuring the setup is practical from day one. ### Maximizing Space in Mumbai In cities like Mumbai, every square foot counts. My design process includes smart storage solutions, such as open shelves for books and closed drawers for stationery, all within arm's reach of the study chair. By connecting the desk to the existing room architecture, like a wardrobe side panel or a bed frame, we create a cohesive, custom-made nook that feels like a natural part of the room rather than an afterthought. ## About Ritika Design Studio Hey, I’m Ritika. I believe a room should reflect your child’s personality, not just look like a page from a catalogue. My goal is to design study spaces that are as durable as they are beautiful, making sure your kiddo has a spot that’s truly theirs to explore and learn.
