When writers take the time to photograph the way light hits a specific wall or how an heirloom textile anchors a room, they are validating that design is about more than just filling a floor plan. Being included in the AD100 list or discussed in Design Essentia is a moment of gratitude for me. These features are not about the vanity of press, but about the substance of the work. When we documented the residence in Dhaka, the goal was not to create a showpiece for a magazine. We wanted to reflect the cultural roots of the homeowners, Imtiaz and Taslima, through a contemporary lens. The coverage captures the nuances we worked so hard to achieve, from the sourcing of furniture that bridges global influences with local artistry, to the layering of textures that makes a house feel like a sanctuary. Whether it is an article about my shift from advertising to interior design in Open Acres or a spotlight on collaborations with craftspeople, each piece of writing preserves the intention behind our process. It is about the 'why' as much as the 'what'. If you are looking for design that prioritizes your personal history over a standard look, these articles offer a window into how we approach that. We explore how to mix heritage floors with modern furniture, and why a bathroom should lift your mood rather than just serve a function. These publications are a permanent record of the conversations we have with light, shadow, and home. ## About Richa Bahl I am Richa Bahl. I design spaces that feel like an exhale—homes that hold your stories and your memories rather than just following trends. My studio in Bandra is where these conversations begin, rooted in the belief that every room should have a heartbeat.
