Designing for public figures is about stripping away the noise to create a private sanctuary that feels deeply, quietly yours. ## Photos and videos - ![Alia Bhatt's home was about creating a space that was simple, warm, and deeply personal. It is about listening to the quiet needs of someone who lives their life under a spotlight. For instance, creating Alia Bhatt’s tea bar was not about a design statement. It was about carving out a small, warm corner for her to simply unwind and be herself. My work with public figures is rarely about the public persona they portray. Instead, it is a quiet, collaborative conversation about what it means to come home. When I worked with Dia Mirza, the task was to honour her collection of art and furniture while grounding them in a space that felt lived in, not staged. Similarly, with Kangana Ranaut, the goal was to blend her Himachali roots with the bustling energy of Mumbai. These projects taught me that everyone, no matter their profile, needs a space that acts as a shelter. I approach these homes the same way I approach any project. We look for pieces that carry meaning, we mix old and new, and we create layers that provide comfort. Whether it is adding a four-poster bed for a sense of nostalgia or selecting a specific shade of wall finish to change the mood of a room, the intent is always to create a sanctuary. Your home is not a place to impress others. It is a place to breathe, to exhale, and to reflect your own journey. If you are looking to design a space that feels like a true reflection of who you are, let us talk about your story. ## About Richa Bahl I do not follow formulas, I follow gut feeling.
