- [Video: For petite women, sleeve length is a crucial detail for balancing proportions. This video explains why shorter sleeves often work better with longer dresses. It's a simple rule that helps prevent your frame from being overwhelmed by too much fabric.](https://assets.mytribe.in/insecure/raw:1/plain/s3://mytribe-assets-production/bc5a8864-99f4-40bb-8e4c-1ab1a3fa2ef9)
- [Video: Midi dresses can be challenging for shorter women, but these tips make it easy. I show how to wear them by choosing solid colors, avoiding high-contrast belts, and opting for shorter sleeves. Finishing the look with pointed-toe shoes adds length effortlessly.](https://assets.mytribe.in/insecure/raw:1/plain/s3://mytribe-assets-production/957eca93-b666-4ff2-a210-8281611c0b9c)
- [Video: If you have heavy hips, the wash and fit of your denim are key. This choice helps smooth your silhouette and create better proportions.](https://assets.mytribe.in/insecure/raw:1/plain/s3://mytribe-assets-production/b6540342-58b8-4296-bdcf-663ee845c3c3)
- [Video: Wearing a pleated skirt with a tummy bulge is possible with the right design. I recommend avoiding skirts with a thick waistband and instead choosing styles with a hidden waistband and pleats that start from the top for a smoother, more flattering silhouette.](https://assets.mytribe.in/insecure/raw:1/plain/s3://mytribe-assets-production/9b4d35b3-ca3c-42f7-92e4-a20714c386e3)
- [Video: A blazer can easily overwhelm a petite frame if the fit is wrong. This before-and-after shows how a long, bulky blazer compares to a well-fitted one that hits at the right length. The right blazer creates clean lines without adding bulk, flattering a smaller frame.](https://assets.mytribe.in/insecure/raw:1/plain/s3://mytribe-assets-production/5816e001-af88-4320-8e45-a3fa2e2bcf44)

This video breaks down how to choose the right top to balance your proportions.](https://assets.mytribe.in/insecure/raw:1/plain/s3://mytribe-assets-production/1282cbd0-802e-410e-8399-e3a0e5b7f45e)
- [Video: When dressing a tummy, an asymmetrical top is often a better choice than a peplum top. The diagonal hemline of an asymmetrical top breaks up the horizontal line of the waist and draws the eye, creating a more streamlined and slimming effect compared to the flare of a peplum.](https://assets.mytribe.in/insecure/raw:1/plain/s3://mytribe-assets-production/113c7757-1f02-42db-a500-9d4e69cd6d6a)
- [Video: Let's analyze two skirt styles for tummy-friendly dressing. I compare a pleated skirt that adds volume at the midsection to a mermaid-style skirt in a darker print. The second option skims the tummy and flares at the bottom, creating a more balanced and slimming effect.](https://assets.mytribe.in/insecure/raw:1/plain/s3://mytribe-assets-production/cac0f1ed-ebd8-41d9-8bd1-fab64d420043)
- [Video: Front-pleated trousers can be unflattering if you have a tummy bulge. I demonstrate how to achieve a much better look by switching to trousers with an elastic waistband and a geometric print, then adding a layered waistcoat with an asymmetrical hem to break up the width at the waist.](https://assets.mytribe.in/insecure/raw:1/plain/s3://mytribe-assets-production/32f82d43-6aff-41c2-a5c9-8fcbae6d3ee3)

## About Styling for Your Unique Shape

True style is not about changing your body, but about changing how your clothes interact with your specific proportions. Whether you are dealing with a tummy bulge, a petite frame, or just feel like your current wardrobe is working against you, the fix is rarely a full closet overhaul. It is almost always about correcting simple details like strap width, hem length, or fabric choice to bring your silhouette into balance.

You do not need a perfect body to look put-together. You need a better understanding of how your clothes sit on your frame. My approach, which I call body mapping, removes the guesswork. We look at your height, torso length, and proportions to determine exactly what works for you.

### The Problem with Generic Rules
Most fashion advice fails because it assumes everyone fits into a 'pear' or 'apple' box. Reality is messier. If you have a tummy bulge, for instance, the answer is rarely just wearing shapeless sacks. It is about using visual breaks. An asymmetrical hemline or a geometric print can do more to flatter your midsection than simply sizing up in baggy fabrics. Similarly, for petite frames, the issue is often volume. Too much fabric around the sleeves or an incorrect blazer length can overwhelm your height. I help you find those specific lengths and cuts that create clean lines.

### Why Technical Details Matter
I focus on the small things that actually change how you feel in your clothes:
- **Heavy Bust/Arms:** We look at necklines and strap width. V-necks and Angrakha styles visually elongate the torso, while wider straps offer the structure needed to balance heavy arms.
- **Lower Body Proportions:** If you have heavy hips, we examine the wash and cut of your denim. A mid-rise, straight-leg cut usually smooths out the silhouette better than figure-hugging flares.

### How We Can Work Together
Whether you are based in Delhi and want an in-person wardrobe audit, or you prefer a virtual session, the goal is the same: you learn the 'why' behind the clothes. By the end of our time, you will know exactly why certain items in your closet highlight your features and why others do not. You can also join my 'Style Yourself' programme if you want to master these techniques permanently so you never have to guess again.
