I just bring honest, gritty vocals to the blues and rock classics that actually mean something to me and my audience. ## Photos and videos - [Video: I consider myself a Blues woman at heart; it's a genre that lets you be completely raw and honest. This cover of "Cry no more" by Danielle Nicole is a performance that feels very personal to me. It demonstrates the power and emotion I can bring to a vocal track.](https://assets.mytribe.in/insecure/raw:1/plain/s3://mytribe-assets-production/970be260-20c3-43ff-9984-f55955d74c39) - [Video: Jimmy Eat World's "The Middle" is a song whose message has always resonated with me. I am looking for the grit and the ache in the lyrics. Whether it is a Bad Company ballad or a Danielle Nicole cover, my focus is on feeling every note rather than just hitting it perfectly. If you want high-energy, over-produced pop, that is not me. But if you want a performance that feels raw and truly connects with your guests, let us talk. ### Why Rock & Blues? For me, these genres are about the story. There is a specific kind of truth found in a blues chord or a classic rock anthem that you cannot replicate with auto-tune or heavy production. My setlists here are curated to bring that same grounded energy to your event. ### My Approach to Live Performance I treat every performance like a conversation. I avoid the 'preachy' or 'showy' stage persona. When I am on stage, whether it is an intimate cocktail night in Bengaluru or a private event elsewhere, my goal is to create a safe space where the music can breathe. I draw inspiration from artists like Danielle Nicole and bands like Bad Company, focusing on: * **Authentic Delivery:** I keep the vocal arrangement natural and honest. * **Emotional Connection:** Songs like 'Cry No More' or 'The Middle' are selected because they hold a message that resonates deeply with me, and hopefully, with you too. * **Versatility:** While these are my home base, I am happy to adapt the tempo and mood to suit the vibe of your gathering. ### Working Together If you have a venue or an event that needs a live singer who values the craft over the spectacle, we will likely be a good match. We will chat beforehand to figure out the mood, the specific songs that matter to you, and how we can make the performance feel like a genuine part of your event, not just background noise. ## About Rajni Shivaram Music is my way of making sense of things. I have spent years fighting off the pressure to perform 'perfection' so I could find a voice that is actually mine. I play the music I love—the blues, the rock, the songs that hold a bit of truth—and I would love to bring that same honesty to your event.
