In my sessions, I prioritize the pocket—that space between the notes where the groove actually lives. If you are hiring me for a live set or a vocal track, my process starts by dissecting the rhythm to ensure the final result has that head-nodding feel, whether it is a modern funk cover or an R&B-influenced jingle. When I approach a track like Dua Lipa's 'Don't Start Now' or a classic by The Temptations, I am not just looking at the lyrics. I am studying the production choices—the cowbells, the synth bursts, and the harmonic layers. My approach to pop, funk, and R&B is rooted in this technical appreciation. For brands needing a jingle or a voice-over, this means I can bring a contemporary, vibrant sound that doesn't just fill space but actually commands attention. For live events, it means I deliver sets that are designed to build energy and keep the room moving, without sacrificing the integrity of the music. I treat every recording or performance as a collaborative exercise in rhythm. I work with home and studio setups to ensure the vocal is clean and the timing is precise. If your project requires that specific, grit-filled soul or the clean polish of modern pop, we will figure out the vibe together. The goal is always the same: a track that feels honest, sounds broadcast-ready, and genuinely resonates with your audience. ## About Rajni Shivaram I am Rajni. I do not aim to be a 'rockstar'; I just love the mechanics of a good song. Whether I am deconstructing a Motown harmony or finding the pocket in a funk track, I focus on the energy we create together rather than just singing at you.
