I focus on academic realism—anatomy, lighting, and perspective—rather than just hobby painting. If you are serious about mastering the fundamentals or preparing for competitive juries, my studio in Nashik is where we build that foundation together. My journey as an artist is deeply rooted in 'bharatiya aitihasik sanskriti' (Indian historical culture). Whether I am painting portraits of freedom fighters or capturing the nuance of spiritual themes, my work is driven by the discipline passed down to me by my Gurus, including my father and the respected Padma Shri Vasudevji Kamath. ### My Philosophy on Art Education I believe that true growth in art happens when instruction goes beyond casual praise. As someone who has judged state, national, and international competitions, I understand the technical precision that juries look for. In my studio, we do not just paint for fun. We work on: * **Academic Realism:** Mastering anatomy, composition, and medium control with oil, acrylic, or watercolor. * **Competitive Strategy:** Analyzing what makes an artwork stand out on a national stage. * **Portfolio Development:** Practical guidance for students applying to art colleges or preparing for exhibitions. ### Learning at My Studio My approach is based on the traditional Guru-Shishya bond. This means you get honest, critical feedback on your work. Whether you are a school student or a professional artist, I provide the same level of attention to your technical improvement. We work in a quiet, focused environment in Nashik, ensuring that your time is spent making real progress. If you are ready to put in the hours, I am here to guide you. ## About Rajesh Sawant I paint to keep our history alive, but my true joy lies in teaching. I guide students by passing on the disciplined lessons I learned from my own Gurus, helping you find your voice through hard work and practice.
