# Rajesh Sawant

I am a fine artist creating paintings and portraits as a tribute to Indian history and culture. It is my privilege to share my knowledge by teaching and guiding students through workshops and live demonstrations.

## Meet your expert

### My story

Namaskar, I’m Rajesh Sawant. My Nana and my Guruvarya shaped how I see art, but my heart beats for my mom. She’s the reason I am who I am – I miss her every day. I paint to keep our aitihasik sanskriti (historical culture) alive, with portraits of Shivaji Maharaj, Prabhu Ram, and freedom fighters. Winning awards abroad is nice, but nothing beats the pride I feel as a kaladhyapak (art teacher) in Nashik, when my students shine.

- **Fine Art & Painting**: I paint with oil, acrylic, watercolor, even chalk. Subjects? History, culture, serene landscapes, spiritual themes.
- **Historical & Cultural Art**: My art preserves our heritage, especially with realistic portraits of Indian freedom fighters and icons like Shivaji Maharaj.
- **Art Teacher & Guide**: Teaching art is my soul work. I guide students for competitions, organize creative events, and celebrate their success.
- **Live Demos & Workshops**: I do live painting demonstration in Nashik and beyond, sharing acrylic landscape painting techniques at workshops and lectures.
