Every session follows a structured progression: hand-eye coordination drills with soft equipment for the littlest ones, followed by agility ladders and footwork basics for teens. We keep the coach-to-student ratio tight—usually 1:6 to 1:8—because, at this age, form matters more than force. If they learn the grip wrong today, they’ll struggle to correct it later. ### The Ninja Way: More Than Just a Sport I call badminton 'aerobic chess.' It’s not just about smashing the shuttle; it’s about tactical thinking, spatial awareness, and handling the pressure of a match. For our Youth Academy at Ultrex Recreational Club in Sector 41, the goal is to get kids out of their comfort zone while having a blast. We break down the learning process so it’s never overwhelming: * **Foundation First:** We start with the basics—proper grip (bevel and pinching), stance, and the essential badminton footwork. Bad habits are hard to break, so we fix them early. * **Fitness & Agility:** It’s not just court time. We use resistance bands, mini-hurdles, and bodyweight exercises to build the explosive power and mobility they need to play long and stay injury-free. * **Mental Toughness:** We teach them to treat the court like a micro-lab. Whether they win or lose a point, it’s about experimenting, learning from the mistake, and staying in the game. ### What Parents Can Expect This isn't a daycare; it's an academy. We track progress, run internal leagues, and encourage participation in tournaments. Seeing them get their first medal is great, but seeing them develop the discipline to show up for practice even when they’re tired? That’s the real win. Our sessions are designed to be progressive, moving from beginner coordination drills to advanced match strategy. If you're looking for a place where your child will be challenged, cheered for, and coached by people who actually love this game, you've found the spot. Chalo, game on! ## About Racquet Ninja I’m Adi, and at Racquet Ninja, we believe badminton is the ultimate tool for character building. We aren't a factory pumping out players; we’re a tribe that pushes kids out of their comfort zones while keeping the fun center stage.
