In a powder room, the right angle—whether it is a backlit mirror or a specific pendant position—is what makes your marble veining or mosaic patterns actually pop. If your lighting is not layered, even the most expensive stone can look flat, and that is exactly the kind of detail I obsess over before the glue even dries. Designing a powder room is about finding the balance between drama and utility. I tell my clients that the powder room is a jewel box. You do not spend hours there, so it is the perfect space to be bold. Whether we are using dramatic black Marquina marble to set a moody tone or intricate, hand-placed golden glass mosaics for a touch of artistry, the goal is always impact. My process starts with the story of the space. Are we creating a serene, spa-like escape with soft-touch finishes and light stone, or are we going for high-octane luxury with gold leafing and semi-precious agate basins? I handle everything from the plumbing layout to the specific inlay work. I am famously strict about the execution. If the grout lines are messy, or the fixtures are not perfectly aligned, it gets ripped out. I do not settle for 'chalta hai' (it is okay) work because the beauty is in the precision. You deserve a space where every finish, from the soft-close hinges to the lighting warmth, feels intentional. I am there on site, dealing with the dust and the noise, ensuring that when we do the final handover, the space feels like a piece of art that belongs to you. ## About Purvi Shah I am Purvi, and I design spaces that are stories. I do not believe in 'chalta hai' work; if a finish is not perfect, I fix it until it is. I am here to help you turn your home into a sanctuary that feels like you.
