Our 30-minute performances are designed for interaction, meaning the children are not just watching from a distance, they are part of the story. After the final act, we always invite the kids to meet our puppets, like Popo thatha, for a closer look at how the magic happens. Our performances are designed to fit the space, whether it is a school assembly hall, a cozy art gallery like Tasmai, or a community center. We do not just put on a show and leave; we create a space for conversation. Our storytelling often features our beloved character Popo thatha, whose story about resilience and solitude resonates with both children and adults. We use a variety of puppetry techniques, from simple sock puppets that feel familiar to intricate marionettes that require hours of engineering. For schools and community events, we often combine a 30-minute interactive performance with a hands-on workshop, allowing children to understand the craft behind the curtain. We believe that when kids see how a puppet is made, the wonder of the performance deepens, turning a simple watch-and-learn session into a lasting memory. ## About PuppeTree We are Team PuppeTree, and for us, puppetry is about finding a friend in the characters we create. We pour our hearts into every show, whether we are at a local school or collaborating with community foundations. Seeing the joy in a child’s eyes when they meet our puppets is why we do what we do.
