When we integrate details like terracotta jalli walls or strategic skylights, our focus is on managing natural light and ventilation, ensuring that your home remains comfortable and private without relying heavily on artificial systems. ### The Importance of Honest Materials We don’t just choose materials for their look; we choose them for how they age and behave. Using raw terracotta, laterite, and exposed concrete isn't just a design choice—it's a commitment to low-maintenance, climate-responsive building. These materials breathe, absorb heat, and develop a natural patina over time that a painted wall simply cannot replicate. ### Crafting Light and Shadow A well-designed home plays with light. We use circular skylights, MS pergolas, and strategically placed glass blocks to carve out shadows and pools of brightness that change throughout the day. This reduces your dependency on artificial lighting and makes interior spaces feel dynamic and alive. ### Custom Fabrication and Details Not every detail can be bought off the shelf. We invest in custom fabrication for features like CNC-cut metal screens, unique staircase railings, and hand-finished cornices. Whether it’s the leaf pattern on a sandstone wall or a custom-designed entry column, these elements transform a standard structure into a signature residence. ### Our Approach to Site Stories We invite our clients to look beyond the final photo. From the initial 3D modeling to the messy, dusty reality of the site, every decision is documented. Whether we are installing a jalli wall or finishing an entrance, we prioritize structural integrity and precise MEP integration. If you want a space that feels like a safe, well-planned hug, we are here to build it. ## About Process Architects I’m Ashok Shetty, and I lead the team at Process Architects. For over 30 years, we’ve focused on the tactile side of building because we believe materials like laterite and exposed concrete should age gracefully. If you want a home designed around craft and climate rather than trends, let’s get in touch.
