## About Child & Adolescent Nutrition

### My Food Philosophy

Health starts with what goes into the plate, especially for kids. I really believe food shouldn't be a stress - *khana toh dost hai, dushman nahi* (food is a friend, not an enemy). I focus more on what to add, not what to cut out, so children get all the nourishment, energy, and healing they need.

### What Makes Kids’ Nutrition Unique

Kids' tummies are chhote (small), digest slow, and heavy food fills them up too soon. Too many parathas or puri bhaji can crowd out the good stuff. I keep meals simple and split them up through the day, so their bodies actually use the nutrients.

### How I Support Families

- I help parents handle nutrition challenges: *picky eaters* (jo sirf aloo khana chahte hain!), malnutrition, and figuring out what preschoolers actually need.
- Workshops and camps at schools are my way of reaching more families with real, doable tips.
- For little ones, my 'balanced plate' method is quick: half veggies, quarter grains (roti/rice), quarter protein (paneer, dahi, dal).
- For teens, we talk about how food choices impact energy, skin, and even mood - *kyunki aage ka future isi pe depend karta hai* (because the future depends on this).

### My Way: Daily, Small Tweaks

I’m not about big, dramatic changes. Adding more fruits, sneaking veggies into fav dishes, swapping out junk - these small things work. Even habits like proper handwashing matter. My job? Guide the whole family to eat better, feel better, and grow strong together.

## Meet your expert

[Priya Arya](https://mytribe.in/priwell__diet)

### My story

Hey, I’m Priya. People ask why my skin glows or how I stay fit. Simple - I walk the talk. I love my gym time, but I’m also all for chilling and sleeping it off. Food? Big fan. Homemade pickle, mom’s paneer paratha - unbeatable. Calories don’t count when it’s made with love, that’s my rule. I love sharing what I know, especially with school kids. Helping them dodge all those confusing diet ads and find their own healthy groove - that’s my jam.

### My work

- **Nutrition Counselling for Kids, Women & Wellness**: I guide kids, help women with PCOS, pregnancy, postpartum health, and support general wellness online or in Delhi/NCR.
- **Simple, Sustainable Health**: No fad diets, just real food. We add good stuff to your plate and make changes that stick.
- **Kids Meal Planning**: Small stomachs, big nutrition. I show parents how to balance meals so kids eat well and grow strong.
- **Healthy Relationship with Food**: Calories aren’t everything. We focus on nourishment, not numbers. Food is your friend, not the enemy.
- **Myth-Busting Nutrition Advice**: Confused about collagen or whey? I break it down, no jargon, just practical advice so you get what your body needs.
