I use a negative space technique to make every face stand out against the henna, but it takes patience. Because I hand-mix my henna, you get a deep stain, but we need about 4 to 5 hours for this level of detail. It is a big commitment, but for a memory this permanent, I believe it is worth every minute. ### How I Create Your Portraits Many brides ask me how I manage to get faces right on a palm. It is not magic, it is practice. I use a specialized negative space technique where I fill the background with dark henna, leaving your loved ones' features highlighted in the skin's natural tone. This gives the portrait a 3D depth that looks stunning in wedding photography. ### The Process When we plan your family portrait mehandi, here is what you can expect: * **Consultation**: We sit down before the wedding to pick the photos. Clear, front-facing images work best for portraits. * **Placement**: I usually place family portraits on the forearm or palm. This allows for better surface area and keeps the detail sharp. * **Natural Henna**: I only use my homemade, 100% organic henna. You will not find any harsh chemicals here, just the natural scent of henna and a dark stain that develops over 48 hours. ### Practical Tips for Your Day Since this is an intricate, time-consuming style, plan for at least 4 to 5 hours of sitting time. I want your portraits to be perfect, and rushing is not an option. Also, keep the area dry for the first few hours after application. I apply a lemon-sugar sealant before I leave, but keeping the henna warm and away from water for the first 8-12 hours is key to getting that deep, rich color that makes the portraits really pop. Radhe Radhe, let us create something meaningful for your big day. ## About Prince Mehandi Artist Folks in New Mumbai call me the celebrity mehandi guy, but honestly, I just love the art.
