## About A Tapestry of Traditions: Festival Celebrations

At Prayag, we view festivals as more than just a fun day; they are key opportunities for social and emotional development. Whether it is Independence Day or Friendship Day, we focus on the values behind the events, helping children understand the importance of community and national pride through age-appropriate, hands-on activities that align with our Montessori framework.

We believe that understanding culture begins with shared experiences. Our classrooms at JP Nagar, Jayanagar, and Padmanabhanagar become vibrant spaces where children learn about Indian traditions through sensory-rich, active participation. For Independence Day, our students do not just dress up; they listen to stories about our history and learn the significance of the national anthem. During Friendship Day, we emphasize kindness and social bonds, using simple rituals like tying friendship bands to teach empathy. Holi is another favourite, where we focus on artistic expression and communal joy, allowing children to get messy and creative.

These celebrations are integral to our 'whole child' philosophy. By involving parents through open houses and inclusive events, we ensure that every festival strengthens the bond between home and school. It is about building a sense of belonging, ensuring children grow up with a deep appreciation for the world around them. We invite parents to see how we weave these learning moments into the daily rhythm of our school.

## About Prayag Montessori

We have spent over twenty years building a space where children feel completely at home. Our festivals are a reflection of this, designed to be joyful, inclusive, and meaningful moments that every child and parent can feel a part of.
