# Prashant Pandey

I create sustainable sculptural installations from discarded materials like marble and cigarette butts. My work continues the story of these materials, finding beauty in transformation and our connection to the earth.

## Meet your expert

### My story

I’m from Jaipur, where stone dust’s just part of the air. My family’s always been in the sculpting business—lots of gods, lots of prayers, people hoping for kids. That stuck with me, this whole thing about origins and faith. Studied art in Baroda, then Paris, but those old workshop smells, they stay with me. Now, whether it’s marble scraps or cigarette butts, I just want to give things a second life.

### My work

- **Sculptural Installations & Commissions**: I make large-scale sculptural installations for galleries, public spaces, and homes. Also take on special commissions.
- **Sustainable Art from Discarded Materials**: I use marble blast stones and even cigarette butts to create sustainable sculptural installations. It’s slow, but worth it.
- **Tradition Meets Modern**: Blending family tradition with new ideas, I work with marble and mild steel for contemporary marble sculpture and conceptual stone sculpture.
- **Every Piece Tells a Story**: My sculptures are like stories—sometimes about the planet, sometimes about the body, always about feeling something.
