Whether it’s growling, reactivity, or pulling, these aren't character flaws; they are communication. My approach is about listening to what your dog is actually telling you—often, it’s just 'I'm scared' or 'I’m in pain'—and helping you adjust your environment so they can feel safe again. My philosophy is built on a simple premise: your dog isn't giving you a hard time, they are having a hard time. Many people come to me after trying to fix 'bad' behavior with punishment, which only erodes the trust between them and their dog. ### Moving Beyond 'Good' and 'Bad' We often label dogs as stubborn or dominant, but that misses the point entirely. When I hear someone ask, 'Kyun kategi kya?' (Why, will she bite?), I see a missed opportunity to respect a dog's boundaries. It’s not about training for a performance; it’s about training for a partnership. ### What You Will Find Here This collection highlights the practical, daily realities of living with and training dogs in a human-centric world: * **Leash Etiquette:** Why on-leash greetings often lead to frustration and how to advocate for your dog's space. * **Understanding Communication:** Why growling is an essential warning and why punishing it is dangerous. * **Positive Alternatives:** How to manage high-arousal situations without force or intimidation. * **Environmental Adjustments:** Tips on setting up your home and walks to prevent rehearsing problem behaviors. ### Why Force-Free Matters Using aversive tools like leash jerks or scary commands might stop a behavior temporarily, but it doesn't teach your dog what to do instead. I focus on positive reinforcement dog training in Delhi and Gurugram to help you and your dog find calm. We look at the 'why'—is it pain, stress, or just unmet needs? By identifying these triggers, we can change the dog's emotional response rather than just suppressing their reaction.
