Take that stained favorite dress or the saree you never wear because it feels like too much work. With a few hand-drawn doodles or a quick stitch to secure your pleats, you can turn problem pieces into your new go-to outfits. It is all about stopping the fuss and actually enjoying what you wear. People often ask if professional styling requires buying expensive, new designer wear. The truth is quite the opposite. My own style journey is built on creativity and problem-solving, not consumption. ### Upcycling for Longevity Take the Converse dress I salvaged from my own clumsiness. Instead of throwing out a favorite piece because of a food stain, I used it as a canvas. A simple doodle turned a ruined garment into a conversation starter. It saved money, kept a beloved item in my rotation, and gave me something unique that no one else has. ### Making Traditional Wear Functional We often avoid sarees because we worry about managing the drape while working. My secret is simple: I stitch the pleats. Whether I am running around backstage at Prithvi Theatre or managing a busy workday, this hack allows me to treat the saree like a power suit rather than a costume.
