We focus on facial expressions and graceful hand gestures rather than intense physical strain, ensuring the focus remains on your joy and the celebration, not on perfect technique. ### Behind the Movement When I put together a routine, whether it is for a *Godh Bharai* (baby shower) or a wedding sangeet, I start with the person, not the step. You will notice in these clips that the movements are fluid and soft. That is by design. For expectant mothers, I specifically avoid any jerky, high-impact waist movements, replacing them with *abhinaya* (facial expressions) and gentle hand gestures that still look beautiful on camera. ### My Process My rehearsals are where the actual magic happens. I travel across the Mumbai Metropolitan Area to your home, which helps everyone feel more comfortable—especially grandmoms or shy family members who might feel intimidated by a dance studio environment. We break the songs down into simple, repeatable patterns. If you see a group dance here, it is usually because I’ve made sure the steps are accessible to everyone, from your cousins to your *Nani* and *Dadi*. It is not about winning a competition; it is about creating a moment of *dhamal* where everyone feels confident enough to get on the floor. I provide recorded walk-through videos for all my clients, so you can practice at your own pace between our in-person sessions. ### Why This Matters I believe the best dance performances are the ones that tell your personal story. Whether we are incorporating props like baby shoes or sonography reports, or just picking a song that means something to your family, my goal is to make sure that years from now, you can look back at these videos and remember exactly how you felt in that moment. ## About Palak Shah I’m Palak, and for me, choreography is just an excuse to celebrate the bonds you share with your loved ones.
