Whether it is learning how to mix your own stable glaze recipes or translating complex ideas into a visual language on clay, these advanced workshops are about intentionality. You will spend less time guessing and more time understanding the chemistry and discipline required to make a piece truly yours. ### Mastering the Science of Glazes Glazing is where the chemistry meets creativity. In our advanced courses, we move past pre-mixed colours to understand the raw materials. You will learn how minerals and oxides interact during the firing process to create unique textures and finishes. Understanding how to weigh, sieve, and apply your own glazes allows you to develop a signature style that is uniquely yours. It is a technical process, but seeing your vision come to life in the kiln is deeply rewarding. ### Developing Your Visual Language As you advance, the focus moves from simply forming clay to refining your artistic intent. We work on sketching your ideas and translating those concepts into tangible ceramic forms. This process helps you move away from standard shapes and explore your own voice in the medium. It is not about perfect symmetry; it is about bringing your specific aesthetic to the wheel or the table. ### Curated Collaborative Experiences Beyond technical skill, I host special workshops that explore the intersection of clay and other mindful practices. For instance, our 'Seen & Unseen' sessions combine the meditative ritual of tea brewing with the grounding nature of working with clay. These sessions are designed for those looking to find a deeper connection between their hands, their mind, and the material. Whether you are working on a 2-hour meditative session or a multi-week intensive, the goal remains the same: to slow down, focus, and create something with meaning. If you have been practising for a while and feel ready to dive deeper into the technical side of ceramics, these sessions are for you. ## About The Pottery Lab Hi, I am Rekha.
