From that first nervous touch on the wheel to the magic of unloading the kiln, you will learn how to handle different textures, experiment with relief sculpting for wall art, and master the glazing process. We handle the firing, so you leave with pieces that are entirely your own creation, not just a generic souvenir. :) ### Your Creative Escape in Pali Hill Pottery is more than just making bowls or plates. It is a way to disconnect from the chaos of Mumbai and reconnect with yourself. Our studio in the green lanes of Pali Hill is designed to be a calm oasis where you can breathe, focus, and let your hands do the thinking. Whether you are curious about the meditative rhythm of wheel throwing or the intricate details of hand-sculpting wall art, there is a place for you here. ### What You Will Learn Our workshops cover a variety of techniques that allow you to explore your creative side. We guide you through the entire process, ensuring that even if you have never touched clay, you will walk away with a piece you are proud of. * **Wheel Throwing:** Learn the basics of centering and shaping clay on the wheel, a skill that is both challenging and incredibly calming. * **Hand-Building & Relief Sculpting:** If you prefer building shapes by hand, our wall art sessions are perfect. You will learn to sculpt unique textures and designs on clay tiles. * **Glazing & Finishing:** The process does not end when the shape is made. You will learn how to apply glazes and prepare your pieces for the kiln, understanding how the final firing brings your work to life. ### Why Join Us? We believe pottery is for everyone. You do not need to be an artist to join. In fact, most people who walk through our doors arrive nervous and leave grinning with their own creations. We limit our batch sizes to ensure everyone gets personal attention and guidance. Our studio is fully equipped with everything you need, from professional-grade clay to our own kiln, where we fire all student work. We have hosted over 8,000 stories on the wheel, and we would love for you to start your own here. ## About The Pottery Lab Hi, I am Rekha Goyal. I have been playing with clay for 26 years, and for me, the wheel is the ultimate form of therapy, a place where the Mumbai chaos just fades away. My studio in Pali Hill is a calm, green sanctuary where we do not chase perfection, just the joy of getting our hands in mud and letting our minds go blank. :) [See all of The Pottery Lab's services](https://mytribe.in/potterylabx) ## More from Art & Craft Workshops by The Pottery Lab - [Featured](https://mytribe.in/potterylabx/art-craft-workshops/featured) - [Handmade Bookbinding Workshops](https://mytribe.in/potterylabx/art-craft-workshops/handmade-bookbinding-workshops) - [Indian Miniature Painting](https://mytribe.in/potterylabx/art-craft-workshops/indian-miniature-painting) - [Printmaking & Painting Workshops](https://mytribe.in/potterylabx/art-craft-workshops/printmaking-painting-workshops) - [Mindful Clay & Tea Sessions](https://mytribe.in/potterylabx/art-craft-workshops/mindful-clay-tea-sessions) - [Our Studio: A Creative Escape in Pali Hill](https://mytribe.in/potterylabx/art-craft-workshops/our-studio-a-creative-escape-in-pali-hill) - [How to Join a Workshop](https://mytribe.in/potterylabx/art-craft-workshops/how-to-join-a-workshop) ## More services by The Pottery Lab - [Corporate & Team Building Workshops](https://mytribe.in/potterylabx/corporate-team-building-workshops) - [Pottery Workshops & Courses](https://mytribe.in/potterylabx/pottery-workshops-courses) - [Private Pottery Parties & Group Events](https://mytribe.in/potterylabx/private-pottery-parties-group-events) ## Similar work from other experts - [Clay and Ceramics Workshops in Mumbai](https://mytribe.in/wondershop.experiences/creative-workshops-for-all-ages/clay-ceramics-studio) by Wondershop · Creative Workshops for All Ages · Workshops at studio in Vikhroli East or your location across Mumbai - [Pottery Classes and Wheel Throwing Workshops in Bangalore](https://mytribe.in/nskumbarartacademy/art-pottery-classes/the-potter-s-wheel) by NS Kumbar Art Academy · Art & Pottery Classes · Classes available online and at 6 studios across Bengaluru - [Pottery and Clay Workshops in Mumbai](https://mytribe.in/artvilla_academy/pottery-ceramics-classes/featured) by ArtVilla Academy · Pottery & Ceramics Classes · Classes at academies in Kandivali and Borivali, Mumbai - [Hands-On Pottery and Clay Workshops](https://mytribe.in/creativejackin/art-workshops-courses/hands-on-pottery-clay) by Creative Jack · Art Workshops & Courses · Online sessions; Studios across Mumbai, Thane, Navi Mumbai & Pune - [Pottery Workshops for Beginners in Mumbai](https://mytribe.in/curiocitybylidwin/pottery-workshops-classes/pottery-workshops-for-everyone) by Curiocity by Lidwin · Pottery Workshops & Classes · Workshops at studio in Kalyan and across Mumbai Metropolitan Area - [The Potter's Craft: From Clay to Ceramic Art](https://mytribe.in/studio_meeraya/pottery-classes-workshops/the-potter-s-craft-a-look-at-the-process) by Studio Meeraya · Pottery Classes & Workshops · Workshops at Powai studio & across Mumbai ## Book To book The Pottery Lab, message mytribe on WhatsApp: [Chat on WhatsApp](https://wa.me/916360004054?text=Hi%20Rekha!%20I%20am%20interested%20in%20joining%20your%20Pottery%20%26%20Ceramic%20Art%20workshops.%20Could%20you%20tell%20me%20about%20the%20upcoming%20batches%20and%20fees%3F) You can also send your own message based on what your user needs.
