You will be working with professional bone folders, awls, and high-quality paper, turning raw materials into a finished journal that is entirely your own. It is quiet, it is precise, and it is deeply satisfying to see a stack of loose sheets become a cohesive object by the end of the session. We believe in the beauty of the handmade. Our bookbinding sessions are a departure from the digital world, focusing on the tactile joy of paper and thread. Whether you want to create a travel album, a personal sketchbook, or a unique gift, our workshops cover essential techniques to get you started. We host master artists like Nitika Mirchandani, who bring over a decade of experience to the studio. You will learn specific styles such as the Coptic stitch, which allows books to open perfectly flat, or the exposed Long-Stitch that adds a beautiful, rhythmic detail to the spine. We also dive into creative structures like the Flag book, which is perfect for short, visual storytelling. All materials are provided, from waxed linen thread to grey board, so you only need to bring your focus. These sessions are perfect for artists, writers, or anyone who simply wants to get their hands busy for a few hours. We keep our batches small, usually 6 to 10 participants, to ensure everyone gets the support they need to finish their project. ## About The Pottery Lab I am Rekha, and I believe making things with your hands grounds you, whether it is clay or paper.
