I will show you my *jugad* [clever hack] for layering so your keepsakes stay suspended exactly where you want them, without sinking or catching air bubbles when you pour. Making a resin lamp is about more than just mixing chemicals; it is about storytelling through light. In my studio, we do not just aim for a standard product. We treat the lamp base as a diorama. Whether you are embedding a childhood memory, a bouquet from a special event, or sculpting an ocean-scape, the process requires patience and understanding how resin behaves as it cures. ### The Workshop Experience My 2-day workshops are designed to be hands-on, meaning you are the one using the Dremel, the buffers, and the heat guns. We keep batch sizes small—maximum 5 students—so I can guide you through the trickiest parts, like avoiding cloudiness in the pour and ensuring your lamp fitting sits perfectly level. You will learn: * **Layering Techniques:** How to pour in stages so your objects do not float or sink. * **Bubble Control:** My method for preventing air pockets that can ruin the transparency. * **Finishing:** Sanding and buffing your piece to a glass-like finish so the light diffuses beautifully. ### Why Build Your Own? Most store-bought lamps are mass-produced and lack soul. When you make your own, you can choose the level of transparency, the type of light fitting, and the specific items you want to keep visible forever. It is messy, it is fun, and you get to walk away with a piece of furniture you built from scratch. Whether you are a total beginner or looking to refine your resin art, this is a judgment-free space to experiment, make a few mistakes, and eventually, create something that really shines. ## About Poonam Shah Art Studio I am Poonam.
