Riyaaz is where the sawal-jawab between my footwork and the tabla happens. When you see us rehearse, you are watching the improvisation and the shared vision that makes every live performance unpredictable, challenging, and ultimately, deeply rewarding. This is where the magic of Kathak is actually born. For me, riyaaz is a lifelong sadhana. Whether I am working on a new tihayee taught by my guru, Prerna Shrimali ji, or refining a complex footwork sequence with my company dancers, the studio is where we strip everything back. It is about precision, synchronicity, and the quiet handling of challenges before the lights go up. We treat every session with the same intensity, whether it is for a grand theatrical production or an intimate workshop. I focus heavily on the connection between the dancer and the musicians, ensuring that the rhythm and the expressions are not just practiced but lived. If you are looking to understand the technique, chakkars, or the nuances of abhinaya, my workshops are designed to share exactly this rigor. We emphasize authentic technique over shortcuts, preparing students to eventually stand on stage with confidence. If you attend my classes, you will find the same atmosphere of dedication, where we work through the rhythm one step at a time, just as we do here. ## About Pooja Pant I am Pooja Pant.
