Whether it is a corporate event or a theatrical production, we spend hours in the studio ensuring our costumes and stage movements sync perfectly with live Tabla and Sitar arrangements before we ever step on stage. ### My Approach to Choreography I view every performance as a journey. It starts with an idea—often a piece of poetry or a specific rhythm—which we then develop into a full visual experience. My process is deeply collaborative. I work closely with musicians on Tabla, Sitar, and Sarangi to ensure the *taal* (rhythmic cycle) is not just followed but felt. ### What Defines My Work * **Theatrical Productions:** I create full-scale stage shows like 'Ek Anant', where we bring mythological narratives to life. This requires not just dance, but management of lighting, costumes, and a troupe of 6-8 dancers. * **Fusion & Experimentation:** I enjoy blending Kathak with contemporary forms. Whether it is Sufi poetry or a fun collaboration with a beatboxer, the goal is to keep the classical grammar of Kathak intact while making it relevant to modern audiences. * **Technical Precision:** From *chakkars* (spins) to *tatkaar* (footwork), I insist on technical rigour. My dancers and I spend countless hours in *riyaaz* (practice) to ensure every movement is deliberate. * **Collaborative Rhythm:** I do not believe in cookie-cutter routines. Every corporate show or film segment is tailored to the specific needs of the director or the client, ensuring the movement serves the story.
