I make it a point to spend time on the floor with every dog, whether it is sitting on the swing or relaxing in the grass, so that even the shyest guests feel safe. If your dog needs extra time to warm up or requires gentle, patient handling to settle in, that is exactly what they get here before the real fun begins. I believe that every dog, whether they are a regular boarder or a new rescue, deserves a home-like environment. Traditional kennels can be cold and intimidating, which is why at Poochkins, we prioritize comfort above everything else. We provide a cozy, home-style space with AC rooms, soft beds, and most importantly, constant human presence. My team and I are always on the ground, literally. We sit with them, talk to them, and learn their unique personalities. If a dog is nervous, I sit quietly until they are ready to approach me. If they are energetic, we have plenty of supervised play sessions in our secure lawn. This personal attention is why even fussy eaters feel comfortable enough to eat, and senior dogs feel secure enough to rest. We don't believe in just watching them from a distance; we are there to provide the cuddles and emotional support they miss when you are away.
