This foundation is why I can handle complex melodies and sharp harmonies for your indie or pop tracks without breaking a sweat. ## Photos and videos - [Video: A performance of "Meine Lippen," a German operetta piece by Franz Lehár, from my graduation recital. When you book me for session vocals, you are getting that technical precision applied to your specific genre, whether it is a soulful R&B line or a tricky indie pop hook that needs to sit perfectly in the mix. You might be wondering why a session singer for indie pop needs to know German opera. Honestly, it is my secret weapon. The rigorous training I went through for my graduation recital taught me how to control my voice in ways that make recording sessions much faster and more accurate for you. When we are recording in my home studio, I don't just 'vibe' with the song. I use that technical training to ensure the pitch is rock solid and the dynamics are intentional. If you have a melody that jumps around a lot or harmonies that feel too cluttered, I can deconstruct them, fix the phrasing, and deliver clean, polished stems that your producer will actually enjoy working with. I treat my classical training as a tool, not a performance constraint. Whether you need a delicate, breathy vocal for a soft track or a powerful, operatic texture for a dramatic swell, I know how to shift my voice to make it happen. You get the fun, 'be cringe, be free' energy in our collaboration, but you get a pro-level, technical vocal performance in your final WAV files. ## About Susanna Ben I might be singing German opera in a fancy dress in one photo, but I’m the same person who gets distracted by noisy welders at home. My training is the serious part, so you don't have to worry about the vocal quality when we work on your music together.
