Whether you are looking for an energetic pup or a calm senior, we prioritize honesty about their quirks, health history, and training needs so you know exactly what to expect before you move forward. Our work starts on the streets and ends in a home. Many of the animals in our care, like Chandra who is recovering from a hip injury, or sweet, calm Ginger, have stories that began with hardship. We handle the medical side, ensuring they are fully vaccinated, dewormed, and healthy, but our real goal is ensuring each rescue gets the stability they need. ### The Adoption Process We do not believe in quick fixes. We take time to understand every animal's temperament. Are they a social butterfly who needs a house with a yard? Do they prefer a quiet corner? We look at these traits closely because a successful adoption is one where the pet and the human truly fit together. - **Health and Transparency:** Every animal comes with a full medical history, including vaccination and deworming records. We disclose any past trauma or behavioral quirks openly. - **Socialization:** We work with our rescues in a cage-free environment to ensure they are comfortable around humans and other animals. - **Home Checks:** To ensure the safety of our rescues, we conduct basic screenings, particularly for cat-proofing or apartment suitability. ### Why Rescue Matters When you adopt, you are not just getting a pet; you are saving a life and giving a deserving animal a shot at the future they were denied. Our rescue dogs and cats are resilient, loyal, and incredibly grateful. If you are ready to open your home, we are here to support you through the transition, from the first meeting to settling them into their new routine. ## About Play Pet Boarding We are Play, and we get attached to every single animal that walks through our doors.
