We build our living frames using reclaimed materials like Assam teak, which provides better airflow for your plants. This ensures your vertical garden actually thrives in the long run instead of just looking pretty for a week. Living in Bangalore apartments often means we have more walls than floor space. Vertical gardening is the perfect solution, but it is not as simple as hanging a few pots. We focus on getting the basics right first. ### Why vertical gardens need a plan Many people assume vertical setups require low-light plants. That is what we call propaganda. Every plant needs decent light to thrive, not just survive. When we design your wall garden, we first assess your balcony or living room light patterns. If your wall is in deep shade, we choose hearty varieties that can handle it, or we suggest a spot that gets at least a bit of morning sun. ### Our approach to your walls - **Upcycling First:** We love using old furniture, shutters, or wooden frames to create structures. It gives your home a unique character that you cannot find in a catalog. - **Structural Integrity:** We ensure our wall frames are secure and weight-appropriate for your balcony or indoor walls, especially if you are using clay pots or heavier soil mixes. - **Smart Layouts:** We space out plants to prevent overcrowding. This prevents the 'jungle' look where plants start fighting each other for airflow. ### Maintenance made simple We hate the 'install and run' approach. Once your vertical garden is up, we walk you through exactly how to water the top pots without drowning the ones at the bottom. We teach you to identify if a plant is stressed so you catch issues before they turn into major problems. Whether you need a small wooden frame for your kitchen herbs or a full trellis setup for a creeper wall in North Bangalore, we are here to help you get started without the judgment. ## About PlantPets by Keerthi Gilla We are PlantPets, a small team that believes every empty wall has potential.
