Please keep your jar in the fridge as soon as you open it so the freshness stays locked in, just like the batches I stir in my own kitchen. People often ask why my jams taste so different from what you find at the supermarket. The secret is patience. I start by sourcing fresh produce from local vendors, washing and sun-drying it, and then slow-cooking in small batches. This traditional method preserves the texture of the fruit, giving you a chunky, spreadable jam that actually tastes like the fruit it came from. My range focuses on flavours that feel nostalgic and comforting. The Apple Cinnamon jam, for instance, is perfect for a slow Sunday breakfast, while the Raw Mango jam offers a tangy twist that is hard to find elsewhere. Since I avoid artificial thickeners and chemical preservatives, each jar is pure and requires refrigeration after opening. Whether you are in Bengaluru and want to pick up a jar from my kitchen in Nagavarapalya, or you are across the country and need it shipped, I make sure each order is packed with care. Because we believe in quality over quantity, batches rotate based on seasonal availability. If you are ever unsure which one to pick, I always say the best way to know is to taste it. Ek baar try karke dekho (just try it once), and you will taste the difference that homemade preparation makes. ## About Pikkle Shikkle I am the Punjabi Aunty behind Pikkle Shikkle, and I started this kitchen journey at 60 because I could not find real, preservative-free jams anywhere. My husband Ekbal and I handle everything, from selecting the local fruit to the final packaging, making sure you get the same 'ghar jaisa swaad' we grew up with.
