I recommend wearing natural fabrics like linen or cotton that flow with the breeze rather than against it, which helps you move freely without constantly adjusting your clothes. The ocean has a rhythm, and during my coastal sessions, I prioritize that flow over traditional posing. Whether we are on the shores of Kochi or a quiet beach elsewhere, the goal is to find that quiet center between you two while the world moves around us. These sessions are longer—5 to 6 hours—because the best light happens when the sun begins to dip. We start in the afternoon and work through twilight, allowing us to move from clear, detailed portraits to those signature, moody silhouettes against the water. I shoot using a 61MP Sony A7RIV to ensure we capture the texture of the sand, the spray of the waves, and the intimacy of a whisper. You will receive 75-100 high-resolution images, curated as a narrative arc rather than just a collection of shots. Since we are working with nature, the environment often surprises us. If the tide is high or the wind is strong, we lean into it. That windblown hair or the feeling of salt on your skin? That is the real memory, not a stiffly posed photograph. ## About Agy Thomas I see photography as visual poetry.
