In these episodes, we push past the surface level to explore how you can align your lifestyle with your dog's needs, preventing the common mistakes that lead to abandoned pets and unhappy homes. Before you bring a puppy into your life, use these insights to honestly assess if you are ready to provide more than just shelter. ### Beyond the Basics We created The Pawdcast because we realized that most people do not know what comes after bringing a dog home. It is easy to buy a toy or a bag of kibble, but it is much harder to build a bond that actually respects the dog as an individual. ### Why We Ask 'Why?' The most critical question we ask is simple: 'Why do you want a dog?' Many people answer with 'time pass' or to fill a personal void. We do not judge that honesty, but we do challenge it. If you want a dog for your own convenience, you are setting both yourself and the dog up for frustration. These clips explore how to transition from viewing a dog as a accessory to treating them as a sentient family member with their own set of needs. ### Real Stories, Real Lessons Our episodes are grounded in the realities we face every day in Delhi NCR. We share the story of a Great Dane we rescued from a busy road—a moment that solidified our mission to move beyond just providing a roof. We also discuss the balance between professional lives and dog training, proving that if you truly care, you will find the time. ### Topics We Cover: * **Pre-parenting assessment:** Evaluating your lifestyle before choosing a breed. * **The 'What Next':** Moving past initial excitement to long-term ownership. * **Individualization:** Why every dog needs a purpose and a unique approach to training. * **Rescue & Rehabilitation:** The hard truths about abandonment and the work it takes to rehabilitate a dog. ## About Asha Arun We aren't just here to watch your dog.
