Whether you choose the fluidity of watercolor or the texture of soft pastels, our classes focus on the discipline required to control the medium rather than just finishing a piece. At our Jayanagar studio, you will work through these fundamentals step by step, ensuring you gain the confidence to create your own vibrant artworks. Art is a conversation between your eyes and your hands. In our colored pencil and painting courses, we strip away the intimidation factor. We start with color theory—teaching you how to mix your own shades rather than relying on pre-made palettes—and move steadily into specific subjects like florals, landscapes, and portraits. ### Why Choose Our Color Courses? * **Structured Learning:** We believe in the process. We start with basics like grip, stroke direction, and paper texture before moving to complex compositions. * **Small-Group Attention:** Our Jayanagar studio maintains small batches, allowing us to provide personal feedback on your technique, whether you are struggling with a watercolor wash or layering charcoal. * **Real-World Application:** We teach you to observe. You are not just copying a reference photo; you are learning how to see the way light hits a pear or the specific texture of fur on a pet portrait. Whether you are joining our weekend batches for a creative escape or committing to our multi-month professional modules, you will find a space that values patience. There is no rush to finish. We are here to help you develop the muscle memory and the artistic eye needed to express your vision in full color. ## About Pencil and Chai At Pencil and Chai, we see art as a journey of patience. We are not a factory; we are a community where you learn to observe, blend, and create at your own pace, just as we have since 2011.
