You are seeing the evolution of a student from the very first foundational brushstroke to a confident, completed piece. Whether you are picking up a brush for the first time in years or refining your technique, our Jayanagar studio provides a pressure-free space designed for steady growth, not overnight perfection. At our core, we believe that art is a practice of patience. The works showcased here represent the stages of our students' development, whether they started with our 2-month Foundation Course or moved into the 3-month Advanced Certification. We follow a structured curriculum in our Jayanagar studio that emphasizes the process over the final product. Students move from basic color wheel theory and wash techniques to independent composition. You will see sketches, watercolor studies, and traditional folk art pieces throughout this gallery. Our instructors prioritize live demonstrations and one-on-one feedback, which allows students to master specific techniques like wet-on-wet or layering in acrylics. Our goal is to teach you how to observe, not just how to copy a reference. You will find that our teaching method focuses on building hand-eye coordination and developing an artist's eye. If you are looking to start, our beginner-friendly batches welcome everyone, regardless of prior experience. For those ready to take it further, our certification path guides you through the technical rigors required to build a portfolio of gallery-worthy work. Whether you join us for a weekend workshop or a quarterly foundation course, you will find a quiet space to focus, practice, and create. ## About Pencil and Chai We are Pencil and Chai, a space in Jayanagar where art feels more like a conversation than a classroom.
