When our alumni like Saurabh Netravalkar return to Payyade, we host intimate Q&A rounds where you can ask about real match pressure, handling failures, and the grind of professional cricket. It is a rare chance to get honest answers about the transition from local maidans to the international circuit while you are still training. Cricket in Mumbai is more than just technique; it is about grit. While our standard academy training focuses on red-soil drills, grip adjustment, and fielding reflexes, our 'Learn from the Legends' cluster is about the mental side of the game. We believe that to make it to the MCA selection camps or international squads, you need to understand the path, not just the drills. ### Why Alumni Visits Matter When former players like Saurabh Netravalkar visit our Kandivali or Borivali grounds, the focus shifts to real-world experience. You hear about the sacrifices involved—the early morning routines, the time spent away from home, and the reality of staying match-fit during off-seasons. These are conversations you won't find in textbooks. They cover: * **Mental Toughness:** How to handle the pressure when you are playing in big tournaments like the Kanga League or MCA President Cup. * **Pathway Clarity:** Understanding the step-by-step progression from age-group cricket to representing your state or country. * **Skill Adaptation:** Adjusting to different surfaces, from monsoon indoor turf to center wicket match simulations. ### More Than a Coaching Centre We are a community. Whether you are in our regular red-ball academy or our intensive summer camps, you are part of a lineage. Seeing someone who started exactly where you are—training on these same pitches—reach the USA international stage serves as a practical reminder that big dreams are achievable with the right support. We invite parents to these sessions too, because we know that a cricketer’s journey involves the whole family. ## About Payyade Sports Club We are not just coaches; we see ourselves as gurus who are here to groom the next generation. We foster a community where you learn from those who have already made the jump from our local maidans to the world stage.
