## About Rehearsals and the People Behind Payana

Our rehearsal sessions include counts, claps, musical discussions and the occasional forgotten lyric. One session brings violin into the room; another works through the Telugu song "Maate Vinadhuga".

#### A friendship that became Payana
We introduced the band in July 2025. The group portrait here marked the beginning of our new musical journey together.

Our founding vocalist and founding drummer appear in performance portraits. The drummer is also a multi-percussionist and tabla player.

#### Musicians and changing chapters
Rishi Singh played lead guitar in our earlier shows. In September 2026, we shared that he was leaving for the UK to pursue his Master's in Music. The stage and airport pictures here belong to that chapter of the band. They don't mean he is part of the lineup for a new booking.

#### Between the stages
Our November 2025 Sri Lanka trip brought arrival pictures, a hotel selfie and a guitar moment by the windows. Alongside the rehearsals, these are a little glimpse of the people who travel and make music together.

## About Payana The Band

Somewhere between the rehearsals, long drives and soundchecks, we became a family. We love sharing the music, but these in-between moments are part of the journey too.
