When you book a session, we spend time selecting the right drapes and jewelry to ensure the mood matches the classic heritage vibe you are looking for. ### The Art of the Portrait There is a specific kind of magic in the way Raja Ravi Varma captured the grace of Indian women. That is the soul I try to bring into these sessions. Unlike my outdoor photography, which relies on the chaos of nature, this style is about complete control. We build the scene from the ground up in my Mulund West studio. ### What Goes Into the Shoot * **The Styling:** We have a collection of traditional red, purple, and gold border sarees and authentic temple jewelry. This isn't just 'ethnic wear'; it is about capturing that drape and silhouette that looks like it belongs on a canvas. * **The Props:** You will see brass samays (lamps), vintage books, and heavy textured drapes. These are not just background elements; they are tools to guide your posing and build the composition. * **The Posing:** This style requires patience. I guide you into poses that are demure, graceful, and deliberate. We move away from the modern 'candid' look to something that feels slow, thoughtful, and regal. ### The Final Touch: Digital Painting The shoot is only half the work. Once we have the raw images, I spend hours in post-production. I use techniques like dodging and burning, along with custom texture layers, to give the final photograph that distinct 'canvas painting' finish. The goal is not just to have a photo, but to create a piece of heritage art that you can hang on your wall like a portrait from a bygone era.
