Whether it is a premiere in Basel or a workshop in Boston, these global stages are where tradition meets new perspectives. ## Photos and videos - ![Our 2024 Europe Tour poster for "ATAH," a production where we connect the dots between tradition and contemporary expression. I combine performances with intensive workshops, connecting with local artist communities from Basel to Boston because that is where the real dialogue happens. My work beyond our Bangalore studio is about breaking boundaries. Taking productions like 'Atah' or 'Astithva' abroad is not just for the thrill of a new venue. It is about understanding how audiences in cities like Milan or Rome engage with Bharatanatyam. I see these international stops as crucial workshops. I do not just land, perform, and leave. I look for spaces to teach, conduct intensives, and sit down with local dancers to exchange ideas. It is a messy, beautiful process that helps me refine my own craft. If you are looking to host a production or organize a workshop, know that I prefer settings where we have time to go deeper than just the surface-level performance. Whether it is a small black box in Europe or a festival in the US, I bring the same energy I use at Punyah Theatre. Let us chat if you want to explore a residency, a performance tour, or a collaborative project that pushes what classical dance can be. ## About Parshwanath Upadhye I am Parshwanath. I do not believe in keeping art inside a box, even if that box is here in Bangalore. I love taking our traditions out into the world and seeing how they land in different cultures.
